Cebu Philippines ( Lahug Walk Tour)

Lahug was an area that was once covered by a vast expanse of towering trees. In the 1950’s an intervening businessman built a fashionable and classy residential district which is now known as The Beverly Hills. Lahug used to be a by-word of local air travelers. Airport(currently IT Park) was once in Lahug but in 1967 airport operations were transferred to Mactan Island owing to a bigger airstrip and to lessen the danger of airplane crashes because Lahug airport was only a few kilometers from downtown Cebu. Lahug has 443 hectares with more or less 35,275 residents. Lahug is considered as the second largest barangay within Cebu City. It also became the home of many investments and businesses. Lahug has already been part of the economic and social cycle of Cebu City.
